For sale is a 1960's era Oak Acorn gumball machine. This vintage machine features a 6 lb glass globe, a brushed five cent coin mechanism, the earlier tear drop chute cover, a new lock and key, and rubber feet so there is no scratching where you sit it. It also has the holes on the base to be mounted on a gumball machine stand, if need be (not included).
This machine has been completely taken apart, sandblasted, polished, and repainted both inside and out. The glass globe has a new Acorn replica waterslide decal. Each part of the coin mechanism was taken apart, sandblasted and/or polished, then properly lubricated for decades of service! The shallow brush housing has a gumball machine wheel that will dispense any gum or unwrapped candy that is under 1".
NOTE: I do not recommend any nuts in the machine unless it is candy coated like M&Ms or Jordan Almonds. The oils and salts on uncoated nuts will "eat up" the insides of the machine over time.
This is a 60+ year old machine that is ready to give decades more service! It would look great in your home, office, garage, or shop and is a great conversation piece! This is a REAL gumball machine. It is all glass, aluminum, & steel made in America - not a cheap Chinese made imported gumball machine from Wal-mart or Amazon. Please note that while it has been restored, it IS NOT perfect regarding original casting flaws, bubbles in the glass, some tarnishing on the handle and chute cover, etc, but is 100% functional in perfect working order!
The price is $275 plus the actual UPS Ground shipping cost (Continental U.S. shipping ONLY). Email me at [email protected] if you are interested.
