SPECOSpeakers_7-24-2026_Title I just finished these up, so I thought I'd share! We have a vintage pair of SPECO drive-in movie speakers with a matching junction box. I've completely gutted them, and replaced the speakers drivers, wiring, and reconditioned the pots. Inside the J-box, everything old was gutted and new electronics have been added giving the set Bluetooth and MP3 capabilities. The set is sitting on a custom made speaker stand that I built using a 3/8 steel plate, laser cut to a perfect circle, mounted to a 2" diameter schedule 40 pipe giving the set a full sized height that is heavy and safe enough for extra stability. As always, I have hours and hours of audio gems from the 1950s and 1960s pre-loaded on this set! Everything from snack bar, soda, & candy ads, to intermission and B-movie trailers, and even classic car and gas station commercials! Below is a quick clip of this speaker set in action!
