How to Drill Out the Lock on an
Oak Acorn Gumball Machine When You Don't Have a Key!
This video demonstrates how to drill out and remove the lock on a vintage Oak Acorn gumball machine. If you have exhausted your search for the key, or can't find another key to fit a Chicago Lock & Key style gumball machine lock, then this will work - however, you will need to purchase another lock and key as this will destroy the lock. Lock and key combos are easily found on eBay, sometimes Amazon, and many gumball machine and vending suppliers for $10-$20. You will need a few tools: - A large flat head screw driver - 1/4" drill bit - An electric or battery operated drill - Electrical, masking, or painter's tape - Safety glasses
