Just Off The Bench... Projected Sound Drive-In Movie Speakers Upgraded with Bluetooth & MP3!
This set of vintage Projected Sound drive-in movie speakers came out looking great!
Originally from the long gone Y&W Theatre in Merrillville, Indiana, these speakers were perfect for an upgrade. All new electronics were added inside the junction box, with new wiring, new potentiometers, and modern speaker drivers in the aluminum speaker enclosures. A black volume knob was added to each speaker. The speakers are all loud and clear now... not all rattley and cracklely like the old Projected Sounds I grew up listening to at the drive-in!
These are all sitting on one of my custom built, tall heavy duty drive-in speaker stands. And like all of my other drive-in speaker restorations, it now has Bluetooth connectivity and a built in MP3 player that is loaded with hours and hours of vintage audio from the 1950s and 1960s! One of those examples can be heard from the video below, and you'll also see some of the before photos of the speakers as well as some shots of the restoration process!
This speaker set will be heading north to Kentucky soon to live with a new family!
