Revisiting A Corvette Themed Drive-In Speaker Restoration with a Classic 1961 Corvette!
This past weekend the annual World of Wheels Custom Auto Show was in my state, so I decided to take the Sunday drive and visit the beautiful cars and check out one of my old drive-in speaker restorations that was there! I didn't have to walk far, because as soon as I entered there it was - a vintage Eprad drive-in speaker set on a table top stand that I had restored a few years back sitting in front of an amazing 1961 Chevy Corvette!
This speaker set featured an original glow-top that was a rare survivor of the elements, as most of them were cracked and broken from speakers being slammed on them over and over, or even melted from people using them as ashtrays back in the day! This set also has some custom Corvette water slide decals that I applied to the speaker stand, as well. The speakers were playing classic rock music from the 50's and 60's while sitting by Chris's absolutely stunning red '61 Corvette.
